SEND Teacher and 2 Children

I understand how an inclusive learning environment and positive educational experience can transform the life of a child with additional needs and that of their family.  I believe that listening to the child’s voice and working in collaboration with those who know the child best, is key to identifying strategies to support them at home and at school.

My career in education has provided me with a wealth of experiences and opportunities to support children with neurodevelopmental conditions, language and communication difficulties, learning difficulties, behavioural needs and physical/sensory impairments. In doing so I have been able to support parents and staff, liaise with specialists, create documents such as detailed EHC needs assessment requests, reports and presentations to governors, external reviewers and OFSTED. In addition, I have also provided training to staff, trainee teachers and colleagues in the local authority.

I can provide a range of SEND support bespoke to your setting. This may include:

  • Training on writing individual targets, one-page profiles or pupil passports.

  • Training on completing Education, Health and Care plan documentation.

  • Observations of child/children within Key Stage 1 and 2.

  • SENDCo support.

  • New SENDCo support.

  • Consultations with staff.

  • Parental support (e.g. drop-in sessions, preparation of paperwork etc…).

I offer a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and how I can assist you.

If you would like to get in touch, please fill in the contact form and I will get back to you to arrange a mutually convenient time.
